Dream of Sand
Six days from Skoura to the Dadès, from the Drâa valley to the Erg Chegaga dunes, then the oasis of Fint and Aït Benhaddou on the way back.

Stop · Drâa-Tafilalet
Morocco’s largest and wildest desert, reached by track beyond M’Hamid.
Beyond M’Hamid, the last village in the Drâa valley, the old Paris-Dakar tracks alternate between stony plateaux (reg) and sand dunes (erg) all the way to Erg Chegaga, the largest and wildest of Morocco’s deserts. On the way, a stop at the Sacred Oasis recalls the caravans of the past.
You spend the night at a desert camp, in a nomad tent or a comfort tent, with separate showers and toilets. A camel ride or a walk, sunset and sunrise over the dunes, then the return via the dry lake of Iriki and Foum Zguid, at the foot of the jbel Bani.
