Tafraoute and the Anti-Atlas

The pearl of the Anti-Atlas, with its strangely shaped rocks, palm groves and Berber villages.

Nestled in the heart of the Anti-Atlas, Tafraoute is surrounded by countless rocks of every shape, rising above a palm grove of argan, almond and olive trees; in spring, the almond blossom is a magnificent sight. The ecomuseum of the traditional house and the slipper souk tell the story of Berber life.

Around it, the Ammeln valley, the painted rocks and the Aït Mansour gorges, a canyon of pink rock where you can cool off in the shade of the palms, are explored by 4x4. Further south, Amtoudi keeps its collective granaries, the agadirs, where harvests were once stored.
